Lois BULLOCK, 2nd child of John Wesley and Leona Pearl BULLOCK, nee FUNKHOUSER, was born 26 August 1921 in Delaware County, Indiana, married James Daniel STEWART 8 September 1946 at Grace Episcopal Church, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.   James, son of Charles and Edith A. STEWART, nee LEE, was born 4 December 1911 in Delaware County, Indiana.

Lois:
      Member Muncie Grace Episcopal Church. Former Sunday School Teacher. Graduate Yorktown H.S. 1939; attended Ball State Teachers College. Member Alpha Omega Federated Club. Former comptometer operator at Indiana General Service Co. and Acme-Lees Corp.; former payroll clerk at California Technical College. Presently associated in business with husband at Pine Terrace Flower Shop.
James:
      Member Muncie Grace Episcopal Church. Graduate Muncie Central H.S. 1930. Attended Ball State Teachers College. Member Yorktown Lion's Club; Yorktown Chamber of Commerce; Florafax; State Florist Association of Indiana. Served U.S. Army 1942-1946. Two and one half years in Southern Pacific Theatre. Rank Tech. Sgt. Battalion Operations. Formerly a partner in Normandy Florist. Owner and operator of Pine Terrace Flower Shop. A trade he has followed for twenty-six years.

ANNIVERSARIES
Jim     Mr. and Mrs. James Daniel Stewart of Muncie will celebrate their 50th anniversary during an open house 2-5 p.m. Saturday in the Georgian Room at the Radisson Hotel Roberts.
    Friends and relatives are invited.   They request that gifts be omitted.
    The Stewarts were married by Rev. C. RusseII Moodey Sept. 8, 1946, in Grace Episcopal Church.
    Mrs. Stewart, the former Lois Bullock, was born in Yorktown and graduated from Yorktown High. Mr. Stewart 		was born in Muncie and graduated from Central High School. He was a partner in Normandy Flower Shop.   During World War II, he was a technical sergeant in the 737th AAA Gun Battalion in the South Pacific and the Philippines.
    The Stewarts are members of Grace Episcopal Church.
    They are the parents of Daniel Stewart (wife: Cathy), Yorktown; Sharon Stewart, Muncie; Anne Stewart (husband:Joe Pellegrino), Harrisonburg, Va.; Janet Stewart (husband: Paul Kaplan), Albuquerque, N.M., and Susan Stewart, Muncie.
    They have eight grandchildren.

Deaths
James D. Stewart, 86
    Muncie - Muncie - James D. Stewart, 86, 5508 N. Austin Drive, died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Stewart, who was born in Muncie, graduated from Central High School and attended Ball State University. He lived in the Muncie-Yorktown area his entire life. He served in the Army during World War II and was a florist for more than 55 years. He owned and operated Jim Stewart's Flower Shop from 1962 until 1987. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Elks Lodge 245. 		    Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lois Bullock; a son, Dan Stewart; four daughters, Sharon Stewart, Anne Stewart (husband: Joe Pellegrino), Jane Stewart (husband: Paul Kaplan) and Susan Stewart, and eight grandchildren.
    Three brothers are deceased.
    Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
    Calling will be 5-8 p.m. today and an hour before services Saturday at the mortuary.

Lois B. Stewart, 80
Lois Stewart Obt picture     Muncie - Lois Bullock Stewart, 80, of 5508 N. Austin Drive, Muncie, passed away Tuesday morning in Ball Memorial Hospital.
    Born in Yorktown on August 26, 1921, she was the valedictorian of Yorktown High School class of 1939 and attended Ball State University. Lois worked at Jim Stewart’s Flower Shop for 39 years with her husband, Jim and later their daughter, Susan. She specialized in wedding flowers.     She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Muncie, the Muncie Elks, and a cheerful member of the Friends of Yesteryear.
    She is survived be a son, Daniel Stewart (wife: Catharine) of Yorktown; four daughters, Sharon Stewart of Yorktown, 		Anne Stewart (husband: Joseph Pellegrino) of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Janet Stewart (husband: Paul Kaplan) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Susan Stewart of Muncie. She is also survived by a sister, Grace Miller (husband: Earl) of Corona Del Mar, California; and her eight grandchildren, Jacelyn and Brian Waite, Erin and John Stewart, Ben and Jon Kaplan and Alexander and Hannah Pellegrino.
    Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James D. Stewart; her parents, John and Leona Pearl Funkhouser Bullock; and her sister, Helen Cowell.
    Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Gant Funeral Home, Yorktown.
    Burial will follow in the Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m.

Janet Ruth STEWART, born 7 January 1955 at Ball Memorial Hospital, Delaware County, Indiana, married, Paul Garry KAPLAN __ _____ 19__ at the John Wesley Bullock farm near Yorktown, Delaware County, Indiana.   Paul, son of Morris and Elaine Rita KAPLAN, nee GORDON, was born 22 December 1946 in Gary, Lake County, Indiana.

    Janet:
          Baptized and attends Muncie Grace Episcopal Church. A student at Yorktown School. Member, Brownie Scouts.
          Janet retained her maiden name of STEWART.
