Death Removes Prominent Citizen Of Salt Lick | |
Mrs. W. W. Razor Dies Wednesday After Long Illness | |
Mrs. Martha Williams Razor, 81 years old, wife of W. W. Razor, prominent
and widely known Salt Lick businessman and farmer, died at her home there early
Wednesday morning, May 2, after a long illness. A member of one of the county's
leading families, she was one of the most highly esteemed women of her community and a
member of long standing of the Salt Lick Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons H. Otto Razor, cashier of the Salt Lick Deposit Bank, and |
C. E. Razor, Salt Lick
businessman. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Reid, Montgomery county,
and Mrs. Henry Meadows, Momence, Ill., and two brothers, C. C. Williams and B. B.
Williams, Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon, May 4, conducted by the Rev. W. J. Kenny, pastor of the Methodist church and the Rev. R. T. Moores, pastor of the Christian church. Internment will be in the Barnes Cemetery. |

Martha Williams Razor was born February 5, 1864, died May 2, 1945. Age
81 years, 2 months and 27 days. She was married to W. W. Razor on January 15, 1885 and to this couple three children born: Cora Grace Vice, who preceded her in death and Otto and Everett, who survive her as well as her husband. She has five grandchildren, two of whom preceded her in death and three surviving her: Mrs James E. Click of Manchester, N. H., Elizabeth Ann and Billy John Razor at home. Momence, Ill. Two surviving brothers, C. C. and B. B. Williams of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and a number of nephews and nieces. She united with the Methodist church in earlyl life. The funeral services were at the home, Friday, May 1, conducted by the Rev. J. Kenny of the Owingsville Methodist Church and the Rev. R. T. Moores of the Salt Lick Christian church. Pallbearers were Noble James, Stanley Reid, Earl Reid, Raymond Razor, Everett Williams and Roland Reid. |

SALT LICK - William John Razor, 67 of 10347 East Highway 60, Salt Lick, died
Thursday, Sept. 19, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 11, 1929 in Bath County to the late H. Otto and Edna Fowler Razor. He was currently the general manager of the Bath County Water District and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in business adnimistration, former stockholder and Executive Vice President of the Salt Lick Deposit Bank, owner and operator of Razor Insurance Agency. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a Kentucky Colonel, a founding force in creating the Bath County Water District, a former Salt Lick volunteer fireman, former Senior Accountant with the State Public Service Commission and was and avid golfer and University |
of Kentucky basketball fan and season ticket holder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jana Lee Wright Razor on Sept. 8, 1996. Surviving are his four daughters, Cara Williams of Akron, Ohio, Sandra Corum of Destin, Fla., Lisa GArner of Crescent Springs, and Andrea Razor of Salt Lick; one sister, Alma Martha Click of Lexington and three tgrandchildren, Greg and Lydia Wiolliams and TRey Graner. Funeral swrvices were scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23 at the Salt Lick Christian Church wutg ubterment at the Dickerson Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and/or St. Claire Hospice. |
