Emmitt died 17 August 1980 and is buried Garden of Memories, Huntington County, Indiana.

    Their children:

    1. Ray Allen PICKERING, born 14 December 1959 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana, married Cynthia Sue WORLINE 10 August 1979 at Waukegon Court House, Waukegon, Illinois.  : Cindy, daughter of Ralph and Shirley WORLINE, nee KARST, was born 6 September 1957 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana.

      Their children:

      1. Monica Lynn PICKERING, born September 1977 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana.
      2. Aaron Jason PICKERING, born 1 August 1980 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana.

    2. Gary Gene PICKERING, born 22 November 1966 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana, married Vicky Jolene PULLUM, 8 November 1986.   Vicky, daughter of Vernon and Janelle PULLUM, nee HOGAN, was born 28 June 1968 at Marion General Hospital, Grant County, Marion, Indiana.

Kenneth Andrew THOMPSON, born 9 November 1971 at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana, married Sandra Kay THOMAS 12 June 1993 at First Baptist Church of Deland, Deland, Florida.   Sandra, daughter of Everett and Roberta THOMAS, nee GARRIS, was born 11 December 1972 at Watterman Memorial Hospital, Eustis, Florida.

      1. Brandon Kenneth THOMPSON, born 10 July 1994 at West Volusia Memorial Hospital, Deland, Florida.
