Nelson T. Razor, 77, of New Castle died unexpectedly Saturday
in Henry County Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Mount Summit and New Castle most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was a member of South Memorial Drive Church of God where he was a member of the Joy Sunday school class and had taught Sunday school classes for many years. He was a retired brick mason and a member of Local 4 Bricklayers Union. He was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Morehead, Ky., a son of George W. and Oda H. Razor. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Eva Choate; two daughters, Carol (husband: Jerry) Davis of Mooreland and Becky Hobbs of Lewisville; four sons, Jim |
(wife: Pam) of Springport, Tom of St. Petersburg, Fla.,
Gary Dean of New Castle and Kenneth (wife: Annette) of Mount Summit; 13
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rosemary (husband:
Floyd) Poe and Betty Littrel, both of New Castle and Nona Lester of
Anderson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Flowers and Beulah Voehl. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at South Memorial Drive Church of God with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Macer-Hall Funeral Home.
