MOUNT SUMMIT, Ind. - Walter A.
Leffingwell, 73, 204 Walnut St., died Wednesday in
Community Hospital, Indianapolis, after a short
illness. Mr. Leffingwell was born in Mooreland and attended Mooreland High School. He worked for Brooks Foods for 39 years before he retired. He was an Amy veteran of World War 11 and a member of New Castle American Legion Post 137, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1282 and Teamsters Local 135. Survivors Include his wife of 40 years, Juanita Leffingwell; a daughter, Lisa Toler (husband: |
Dale), Decatur; a sister, Grace Lewellen,
Mooreland; a brother, George Leffingwell, New Castle;
two grand-sons, Jonathon and Paul Toler,
both of Decatur, an several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Leffingwell. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Main-Frame & Hostetler Funeral Home-Blue River Chapel, east of Mount Summit, with Rev. Bob Cole officiating. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery. Calling will be 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
