MIDDLETOWN - James 0. Keesling,
73, of 600 Beechwood, Middletown, died Tuesday at St.
Johns Medical Center in Anderson.
A World War II veteran of the U.S.
Army Air Corps, Mr. Keesling was awarded the Distinguished
Flying Cross and Air Medal with the 8th Air Force. He
retired in 1979 after working 34 years at Delco Remy.
He was born May 14, 1922, in Emporia.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Razor
Keesling; two sons, James D. of Daleville and Mark E. of
Raleigh, N.C.; two granddaughters, Sara and Carrie Keesling,

both of Daleville; a sister, Donna Pierce of Middletown; and a
brother, Charles M. of Marion.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Ballard
and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Robert Carter
officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery at
Middletown. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial
