Mary Jane French, 60, of
Route 1, Springport, died Friday evening in Henry
County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room after
sustaining injuries in an automobile accident
Friday afternoon.
She was a native of Henry
County, a daughter of Chris and Ida Razor. She
formerly was employed by Anchor Hocking Glass Co.
in Winchester for 10 years, by Brooks Foods in
Mount Summit for five years, and assisted her
husband on the farm for four years.
She was a member of the
Mount Summit Christian Church and an active
member of TOPS in New Castle. She and her
husband, David, celebrated their 43rd wedding
anniversary on Sept. 14.
Survivors besides her
husband include two daughters,

Linda (Mrs.
Richard) Ratcliff of Spiceland and Connie (Mrs. Edward)
Smith of Abingdon, Va.; three sons, Jay
and Dale French, both of rural New Castle and Ben
French of Springport; 14 grand children; five
sisters, Carrie Bullock of New Castle, Veda
Rogers, Naomi Pugsley of Yorktown, Lillian Hole
of Muncie and Christine (Mrs. Robert) Garner of
Spiceland; a brother, William J. Razor of Wayne,
Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
a sister, Opal Scrogham, and a brother Glenn
Razor.
Services will be 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Main and Frame Blue River Memorial
Chapel with the Rev. Richard Haynes officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Summit Cemetery. Friends
may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
at the chapel.
