June Ellen SWANDER,   2nd child of Fred DeLoss and Ruth Almira SWANDER, nee BULLOCK was born 3 June 1921 in Delaware County, Indiana, married Weldon Morris HINES 21 June 1941 at Methodest Church, Selma, Delaware County, Indiana.   Weldon, son of Ara Weldon and Carol HINES, nee ARMB, was born 29 December 1918 at home in Jay County, Indiana.

June:
Member Hazelwood Christian Church. Graduate Selma H.S. 1939. Former salesclerk. Presently dining room lady in Noyer Dining Service at Ball State University.
Weldon:
Member Albany Methodist Church. Graduate Albany H.S. 1938. Attended Ball State University. Member Anthony Masonic Lodge #171 F.&A.M. Employed at the International Harvester Company at the time of his death.


Weldon died 31 August 1945 from Polio and is buried in Black Cemetery, Albany, Delaware County, Indiana.

June E Swander Obt. Pic.     MUNCIE — Services for June Swander Hines Jefferson, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
    Calling will be 4-8 p.m. today at Meeks Mortuary and an hour before services Tuesday at Cethsenmane United Methodist Church.
    Mrs. Jefferson died Saturday in Lafayette while visiting friends.
    She was a graduate of Selma High School and Ball State University.
    Mrs. Jefferson worked at Ball State's dining 		services for 20 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist hurch and a member of the RSVP Quilters Guild.
    Survivors include two sons, Eddie Hines (wife: Jeanne) and Joe Hines (wife: Sandy); two daughters, Ruth Jones (husband: Bill) and Laura Corso (husband: Daniel); a daughter-in-law, Chris Jefferson; 20 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two husbands, Weldon Hines in 1945 and Leonard (Jack) Jefferson in 1985. Her son and two grandchildren are also deceased.
    Memorials may be sent to Gethsemane United Methodist Church.

  2. Joe Don HINES, born 23 April 1944 in Delaware County, Indiana, married Claudia Kay CARTER 21 March 1964 at ____ Church, ____ City ____ County, Indiana.   Claudia, daughter of ____ and ____ CARTER, nee ____, was born 12 August 1943 at ____ Hospital, ____ City, Delaware County, Indiana.

    Joe:
    Member Gethsemane Methodist Church. Graduate Royerton H.S. 1962. A student at Ball State University. Employed at Jefferson's Mobile Gas station, Muncie, Indiana.
    Claudia:
    Member Morningside Methodist Church. Graduate Royerton H.S. 1961. A student at Ball State University. Recipient of state scholarship. Member Sigma Zeta and Pi Gamma Mu. Formerly employed at Marsh Supermarkets for one year and Kings's Root Beer Stand for four years.

June married Leonard Hugh JEFFERSON 12 February 1947 at ____ Church, ____ City, ____ County, Indiana.   Leonard, son of Earl and Ena Pearl JEFFERSON, nee DALE, was born 2 September 1917 at home in Delaware County, Indiana.

Leonard:
Attends Hazelwood Christian Church. Graduate Royerton H.S. 1934 and Wake Forrest Finance School, Wake Forrest, North Carolina 1943. Member International Petroleum Retailers Association. U.S.A.F. 1942-1945. Rank Sgt. Served in Finance Office Base Air Depot #2 in Liverpool, England, 1943-1945. Former foreman at Cold Storage at Marhoefer Packing Company. Owner and operator of Jefferson's Point Gas Station, Muncie.

  1. Ruth Ellen JEFFERSON, born 5 March 1948 in Delaware County, Indiana.

    Attends Hazelwood Christian Church. An honor student at Kuhner Jr. H.S. Member International Order of Job's Daughters, Bethel 25.


  2. Charles Wesley JEFFERSON, born 23 September 1951 in Delaware County, Indiana.

    Charles:
    Attends Hazelwood Christian Church. A student at Kuhner Jr. H.S. Past President student council at McKinley Elementary School.


  3. Laura Marie JEFFERSON, born 5 May 1953 at Ball Memorial Hospital, Delaware County, Indiana, married Gary RETZ 8 August 1974.

    Laura:
    Attends Hazelwood Christian Church. A student at McKinley School. Member of the student council.


    Laura and Gary were divorced in April 1984.

    Laura married Daniel CORSO 24 may 1988 at ____ City, ____ County, ____ State.  Daniel son of?
