Arch Emerson HAMILTON,   6th child of Arch Augustine and Laura Margaret HAMILTON, nee BULLOCK was born 29 July 1909 at home in Perry Township, Delaware, Indiana, married Lucile GILMORE __ February1941.   Lucile was born in Jefferson, Iowa.

Arch:
Member New Burlington Methodist Church. Graduate Center H.S. 1927. P.M. Whitney Masonic Lodge #229 F.& A.M.; Member Whitney Chapter #564 O.E.S.; V.F.W.; and Monroe Township Advisory Board. Served U.S. Naval Reserve 1942-1945; seventeen months North African Theatre. Rank M.M. 2/C. Former machine operator Chevrolet-Muncie 1935-1942. Engaged in dairy and grain farming.


Arch was divorced __ _____ 1942 in _____ City, _____ County, Indiana.

Arch married Roxie SHOCKLEY 21 July 1946 at the home of Robert and Mary Johnson near Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.   Roxie, daughter of William B. and Lavina SHOCKLEY, nee HARMAN, was born 22 December 1911 in Delaware County, Indiana.

Roxie:
Member New Burlington Methodist Church. Chairman of Church Board and Sunday School Teacher. Graduate Cowan H.S. 1929; Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing 1934; and B.S Ball State University 1938. Member Whitney Chapter #564 O.E.S. and American Nurses Association. Former Instructor and Assistant Director of Nurses at Ball Memorial Hospital four years. School Nurse for Muncie City Schools since 1958.


Arch died 8 January 1978 and is buried in Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.
